How to apply for JAMB Regularization

Many students have gained admission into Universities, Polytechnics, and other tertiary institutions but their admission status is not recognized on the JAMB website. Such students usually experience complications in their final year. Others have issues when it’s time to be mobilized for National Youth Service commonly known as NYSC. If you are such a student, what you need to solve this problem is REGULARIZATION. In this article, you will be learning how to apply for JAMB regularization.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) introduced the regularization process to adequately sync and update the admission status of candidates with Jamb’s database.

The JAMB regularization is largely accessible to Direct-Entry candidates looking to update admissions obtained from their NCE/OND/HND institutions with JAMB.

UTME candidates without official JAMB admission letters and registration numbers also need to apply. This is to regularize their current status in an institution with the admissions board.

  • Click on the link below to access the JAMB E-facility platform https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/login
  • If you are an existing user, login into the Jamb E-facility platform by typing in your email address and password (Learn how to reset your password here).
  • New users are required to create an account via clicking the “Create an account” button, using a valid email address, first name, surname, state, local government area (LGA) of origin, mobile number, and password to register.
  • After logging in, you will be directed to a landing page.
  • On that landing page, click on the services menu on the top left sidebar.
  • Carefully select the condonement of illegal admission/regularization in the services bar.
  • A transaction ID will be generated in bold red. Kindly take note of the transaction ID and review the confirmation information for future reference purposes.
  • Click on the continue button and pay online via Interswitch or pay physically at designated federal government-approved commercial banks. (Please note that a transaction ID will be required at this point).
  • After payment, an email containing your transaction ID and payment status will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.
  • When completed, the status of the payment will be displayed in the “My payments” section. Click on Continue and provide the following information:
    a) Year of Exam.
    b) Jamb registration number.
  • After entering the information, an application form will be provided. Fill the application form and review for any errors.
  • An indemnity form will be displayed for printing after submitting to complete the application
  • Fill the indemnity form and submit it to your institution for approval. Your institution will forward the form to the approved JAMB State office.
  • JAMB will officially process the application and update your relevant details on the portal as requested.
The regularization process is also referred to as Late application and it costs N5000.

All students should note that failure to apply for this regularization means that the admission you have in any JAMB-Approved Tertiary Institution is invalid. This can hinder the completion of your academic degree. It can also affect your deployment for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

If you do not want to be a victim at a late hour, ensure you apply for JAMB regularization. Don’t wait till it becomes impossible and irrelevant to do so.
